Hand wash only: Resin tableware and utensils should be hand-washed. Avoid placing them in the dishwasher, as the high heat can warp or damage the resin.
Use mild soap: Clean resin items with warm water and a mild dish soap. Harsh chemicals or abrasives can damage the surface.
Soft cloth or sponge: Use a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge to gently clean the surface. Avoid scrubbing too hard, as it could scratch or dull the resin finish.
Avoid soaking: Do not leave resin items soaking in water for long periods, as prolonged exposure to water can weaken the resin over time.
Drying
Dry immediately: After washing, dry your resin items immediately with a soft towel to prevent water spots and moisture buildup.
Air drying: You can also air dry resin items, but make sure they are placed on a clean, dry surface.
Storage
Keep away from heat: Resin can be sensitive to high heat. Store your resin tableware and utensils away from hot surfaces, such as stovetops or direct sunlight, which could cause the material to warp or discolor.
Avoid extreme temperatures: Do not expose resin to extreme temperatures (e.g., very hot or cold environments), as it may affect the material's integrity.
Store in a cool, dry place: Store your resin items in a cool, dry place to prevent damage or fading. Avoid storing them in damp or humid environments.
Stains and Discoloration
Remove stains immediately: If resin tableware or utensils get stained, clean them as soon as possible to prevent the stain from setting.
Use baking soda: For tougher stains, you can make a paste of baking soda and water, gently rub it onto the stain with a soft cloth, then rinse thoroughly.
Avoid prolonged exposure to colored foods: Some foods and beverages, like wine or turmeric, may stain resin if left on for too long. Clean them right away.
Resin can sometimes become frosty after washing: If this occurs, simply rub a tiny drop of vegetable oil onto the surface with a soft cloth to restore its luster. The frosty appearance can also be left alone as this can be preferred. It does not affect the quality and usage of the item.
Avoid Scratching
Use non-abrasive cleaning tools: Always use soft cleaning materials to avoid scratching the surface. Avoid abrasive sponges or scouring pads.
Be mindful of sharp objects: Be cautious when using knives or forks on resin plates or utensils, as they can scratch the surface. Consider using a cutting board or mat to protect the resin.
To remove scratches: Should the resin piece become scratched, use a non-abrasive pad (such as Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or Scotchbrite) with warm water and mild soap. Rub in circular motions.
Avoid Chemical
Keep away from harsh chemicals: Harsh chemicals, such as bleach or ammonia, can degrade the resin. Stick to mild soap and water for cleaning.
No acetone or nail polish remover: Avoid using acetone or nail polish remover on resin, as it can cause the material to break down.
Regular Inspection
Although resin is shatter resistant, it can break if dropped on the ground. Check for cracks or chips: Occasionally inspect your resin tableware for any cracks, chips, or damage. If you notice any issues, it's best to stop using the item, as the resin can become weaker over time.
