Baagh Quilt, No. 12
The Baagh handwoven cotton quilt is one of the softest quilts crafted by Injiri artisans. It features the Jamdani, which is a supplementary weft technique of weaving originated in the 18th century. Each supplementary weft motif is added separately by hand, interlacing the weft threads into the warp with fine bamboo sticks, and resulting in a complex mix of different patterns that appear to float on a shimmering surface.
