This handwoven wool rug is created by 11 artisan women gathered near Baghdad, starting their rug-weaving cooperative with age-old traditional techniques and a contemporary take on the beauty of Mesopotamian art. Made with natural wool sourced from local herders, the Sawa Samawa rug is certified Fair Trade by the Fair Trade Federation.
