AYOU is a social enterprise working with rural weavers in the mountains near Azilal, Morocco. They provide artisan women with stable wages, and wait for them to create the most beautiful rugs in their heart. That is how we received these original, one-of-a-kind pieces shining with the most authentic Moroccan beauty. Each rug comes with a blue stamp issued by the Moroccan government, certifying the piece as a handcrafted item made by traditional craft makers.
Hand knotted by Keltouma Ait Lahcen on her wooden loom, this runner is composed of bold colors and whimsy motifs - no two are alike! The wool comes from sheep raised in Keltouma's neighborhood, and the colors are from all natural vegetable dyes.
