LOST AND FOUND

Down the road to modernization one may sometimes feel disconnected, though the ever-advancing technologies suggest the opposite.

In this issue, we visit China, a country achieved tremendous economic growth and technological development in the past three decades. When everything seems to be rolling forward at a speed like never before, a group of young designers paused, and started to look for the things that got lost on the way.

They are trying to re-establish the connection between man and nature, reset the rhythms of life, and rebrand their handicraft heritage as an essence of being, all by going back to what the mother earth has to offer and picking up what their ancestors had passed down.
